Samsung Galaxy A42 is just a bit better than LG V40 ThinQ, having a global score of 87 against 81.2. The Samsung Galaxy A42 design is incredibly newer than LG V40 ThinQ's, but it is heavier and somewhat thicker. Both devices in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has 11 version while LG V40 ThinQ has Android 10 version, so it gives you some extra features.
LG V40 ThinQ counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and much more pixels per inch in the screen. The LG V40 ThinQ has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a bit better camera than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos or video in low-light environments and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a back-facing camera with a lot better 48 mega pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with slightly more storage for games and applications than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds 1000 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a much longer battery lifetime than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
