Samsung Galaxy A42 is just a bit better than Galaxy S6 Edge, having a overall score of 87 against 85.7. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the newer 11 version and Galaxy S6 Edge has Android 5.0, so it gives lots of additional features. Samsung Galaxy A42's design is way newer than the Galaxy S6 Edge's, but it is thicker and notably heavier.
The Galaxy S6 Edge has a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy A42, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a 64-bits processing unit and a graphics co-processor. The Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 2560 x 1440 resolution and a way higher quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.
Galaxy A42 takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy A42 also has a way higher 48 mega pixels resolution camera and a larger aperture to capture better low-light photos and videos.
