Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi 12 Pro, getting a score of 87 against 79.6. Despite of the fact Galaxy A42 is older and just a little thicker than Xiaomi 12 Pro, it's body is still a little bit lighter. These phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy A42 has the older 11 version while Xiaomi 12 Pro has Android 12.
Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a much better display than Galaxy A42, because it has a way higher pixel count per inch of display, a quite larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 3200px. The Galaxy A42 features a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi 12 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 1000 GB.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a superior camera than Galaxy A42, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for taking photographs and videos in low light environments, it also counts with a more MP back facing camera and a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution.
