Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a score of 76.6, which is slightly better than Galaxy A5 (2016)'s 71.9 general score. Even though Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is much newer than the Galaxy A5 (2016), it's extremely heavier and thicker. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy A5 (2016), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has more RAM.
The Galaxy A5 (2016) features just a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a really smaller screen and a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920, it also counts with a quite higher display density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a way better camera than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a back facing camera with lot more megapixels and a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low light environments.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a superior memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy A5 (2016), and although they both have an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has 48 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much longer battery duration than Galaxy A5 (2016), because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity.
