HTC One M9 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), having a 77.7 score against 75.8. The HTC One M9 body is just a bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), although it's somewhat thicker and was released only 23 months before. The HTC One M9 has a much better screen than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the HTC One M9 also counts with a just a bit better screen density.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has slightly more storage for games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB.
