The Galaxy A31 has an overall score of 81.3, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)'s general score of 75.8. The Galaxy A31 construction is newer, but somewhat heavier and a little thicker than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). Galaxy A31 features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A31 also has a greater amount of RAM.
Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A31 feature incredibly similar screens, because although the Galaxy A31 has a bit worse pixels density, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a bigger display. The Samsung Galaxy A31 counts with a better camera than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A31 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy A31 has a much greater storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy A31 counts with a way better battery performance than Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
