The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 3000mAh battery size. Galaxy Alpha takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a back facing camera with a way worse 12 mega pixels resolution and a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for capturing images in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 video quality.
