Xiaomi 12 Pro is just a bit better than the Galaxy A5 (2017), getting a 79.6 score against 75.8. Even though Xiaomi 12 Pro is incredibly newer than the Galaxy A5 (2017), it is a bit thicker and a lot heavier. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has a bigger display, a just a bit greater display density and a way higher resolution of 1440 x 3200.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features a very superior processing unit than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same aperture, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has a back camera with a much better 50 MP resolution and a much better 7680x4320 video resolution. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a much longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity.
