Samsung Galaxy A50 has a score of 83.8, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 2 XL's score of 82.5. Samsung Galaxy A50 is a newer cellphone, and it's also just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner than Google Pixel 2 XL. Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a greater pixel density.
Galaxy A50 has a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A50 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy A50 and the Google Pixel 2 XL both count with similar processors, both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount.
Galaxy A50 counts with a bit superior battery life than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy A50 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a tinier sensor shooting lower quality photos, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also counts with a bigger aperture for better low light captures and a lot more megapixels back facing camera.
Although Galaxy A50 is a better device, it is more expensive than Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy A50, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Google Pixel 2 XL, resigning a couple features and specifications.
