Comparison review
The Galaxy A50 has a score of 83.8, which is a bit better than Huawei Mate 20's overall score of 79.5. Galaxy A50 is a just a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter phone than the Huawei Mate 20, even when both of them were released with only a couple months difference. Huawei Mate 20 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy A50, because although it has a just a little worse display density and a little bit worse 1080 x 2244 resolution, it also counts with a quite bigger screen.
Huawei Mate 20 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy A50. Both have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A50 has a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy A50 captures clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a tinier camera sensor, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A50 also counts with a larger aperture and a camera with a lot higher resolution.
The Huawei Mate 20's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery life in Samsung Galaxy A50.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, Galaxy A50 is also a bargain compared to others.
