The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a global score of 90.9, which is a bit better than Galaxy A50's global score of 83.8. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro construction is newer than the Galaxy A50's, but it is thicker and noticeably heavier. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy A50, because it has a just a bit more pixels per display inch, a little bit larger display and a better resolution of 1334 x 2772 pixels.
The Galaxy A50 features a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has only 128 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A50, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro captures a lot better photographs and videos than Galaxy A50, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures in low light situations, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video definition, a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a way larger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A50, because it has a 10 percent more battery size.
