Comparison review
Huawei P40 is just a bit better than the Galaxy A50, getting an 86.4 score against 83.8. Although Huawei P40 is newer than Galaxy A50, it's a little heavier and a little thicker. The Huawei P40 counts with a bit better looking display than Galaxy A50, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2340px resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a bit better pixels number per display inch.
The Galaxy A50 features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A50 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Huawei P40 features just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A50, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei P40 also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Huawei P40 features a way better camera than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light photography, it also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality, a camera with way more mega pixels and a lot higher (4K) video definition.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 has just a bit longer battery life than Huawei P40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3800mAh.
Although Huawei P40 is a better device, it costs more than Galaxy A50, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy A50. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Huawei P40, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy A50, letting go some specs and features.
