Comparison review

The Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A50, with an 87.2 score against 83.8. Xperia 5 II's design is newer and just a bit lighter, but also just a bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy A50. The Xperia 5 II features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A50, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

Xperia 5 II features a bit better looking display than Galaxy A50, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy A50, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB.

Sony Xperia 5 II and Galaxy A50 both count with incredibly similar batteries. The Xperia 5 II has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a camera in the back with a lot lower resolution, and they both have the same aperture, the Xperia 5 II also counts with a way larger camera sensor capturing way better quality photos and a much better (4K) video resolution.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy A50, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy A50. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy A50, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
