The Samsung Galaxy A50 has an overall score of 83.8, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's 82.2 overall score. Although Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium were released with only a couple of months difference, Samsung Galaxy A50 is much lighter and incredibly thinner.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and a much higher screen pixel density. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy A50, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a higher amount of RAM.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium takes slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a much less MP camera and a smaller camera aperture which is worse for capturing images and/or video in low light situations, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a way higher (4K) video quality.

Galaxy A50 features a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 64 GB more internal memory and an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy A50 features a bit better battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 13% larger battery size.

The Galaxy A50 not only is the best phones in our comparison, but it's also a bargain compared to others, which makes this phone an obvious call.
