Samsung Galaxy A51 has an overall score of 85.5, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 3a XL's global score of 78.9. These phones use the same Android 11 OS. Even though Samsung Galaxy A51 and Google Pixel 3a XL were only released with a couple of months difference, the Samsung Galaxy A51 body is a little bit thinner but also just a bit heavier than Google Pixel 3a XL.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 has just a bit better looking display than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a slightly better 1080 x 2400 resolution, a just a little better pixel density and a little bigger screen. The Galaxy A51 has much more memory capacity to install games and applications than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 features a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 3a XL. Both have 8 processing cores and 4 GB of RAM memory. Galaxy A51 has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. The Galaxy A51 captures better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting photographs or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy A51 also counts with a lot larger back camera sensor taking way higher quality photos and videos and a much higher resolution back facing camera.
Although Galaxy A51 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3a XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Pixel 3a XL. If you want to save some money, you can get the Google Pixel 3a XL, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
