Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy A51, having a overall score of 93.3 against 85.5. The Xperia 1 III is a newer cellphone than Samsung Galaxy A51, but it is a little heavier and a bit thicker. Both of these phones work with the same Android 11 OS, so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect.
Xperia 1 III has a better looking screen than Galaxy A51, and although they both have a same size display, the Xperia 1 III also has a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a lot more pixels per screen inch. The Sony Xperia 1 III has a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A51, because it has 256 GB internal storage and an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB.
The Xperia 1 III features a bit faster processor than Galaxy A51, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM. The Galaxy A51 takes slightly better photos and videos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, a tinier sensor shooting worse quality pictures and videos and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Galaxy A51 also counts with a camera in the back with way more MP.
The Xperia 1 III features a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy A51, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy A51, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy A51. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy A51, resigning some specifications.
