The Xiaomi Mi Max has an overall score of 77.5, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017)'s 75.8 score. Even though Xiaomi Mi Max and the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) were released with only a couple of months difference, Xiaomi Mi Max's body is just a little heavier but also a little bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017).

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) features a bit better processor than Xiaomi Mi Max, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) counts with a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) also counts with a little bit greater number of pixels in each inch in the screen.

The Xiaomi Mi Max captures just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A7 (2017), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for taking photographs and video in low light situations, and they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega-pixels, the Xiaomi Mi Max also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.

The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with better battery performance than Galaxy A7 (2017), because it has a 35 percent more battery size.
