The Huawei P40 is much better than Samsung Galaxy A70, getting a overall score of 86.4 against 76.9. Both devices in this review use the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any difference in that aspect. The Huawei P40 construction is newer and a little bit lighter, but a bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy A70.
Huawei P40 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy A70, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit higher display density. The Samsung Galaxy A70 features a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Huawei P40, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy A70 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei P40 features just a bit better performance than Galaxy A70. Both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Huawei P40 counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy A70, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with better 60 fps video frame rates and a way bigger sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Galaxy A70 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40, because it has an 18 percent bigger battery size.
Even being the best phone of the ones we compare here, Huawei P40 is also very cheap compared to the other phones.
