Both devices in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia 5 III has the newer 11 version and Galaxy A70 has Android 10 version.
Sony Xperia 5 III has a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A70, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a bit greater screen density. The Sony Xperia 5 III has much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy A70, because it has 128 GB more internal storage and a SD memory slot that admits up to 1 TB.
Sony Xperia 5 III has a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy A70, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia 5 III also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 5 III captures greater photos and videos than Galaxy A70, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same aperture, the Sony Xperia 5 III also has a much bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality and higher video frame rates.
Xperia 5 III's battery lifetime is just as good as the Galaxy A70 one.
