Samsung Galaxy A71 has a general score of 87.5, which is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 2 XL's 82.5 score. Samsung Galaxy A71 is a much newer and just a little bit thinner cellphone than Google Pixel 2 XL, although it is just a bit heavier. The Google Pixel 2 XL's processing unit is just as good as Galaxy A71's processor, and although the Google Pixel 2 XL has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a little sharper screen than Galaxy A71, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 resolution and more pixels per inch of screen. The Galaxy A71 counts with a way better camera than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rates and a same size diafragm aperture, the Galaxy A71 also has a much bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a way more mega-pixels back facing camera.
Galaxy A71 features a very superior memory for apps and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A71 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 512 GB. Galaxy A71 features greater battery life than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3520mAh.
Although Galaxy A71 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Pixel 2 XL, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Pixel 2 XL. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy A71, otherwise you can save some money and get the Google Pixel 2 XL, giving up a couple features and specifications.
