The Samsung Galaxy A71 has an overall score of 87.5, which is a bit better than Google Pixel 3 XL's 80.7 global score. The Samsung Galaxy A71 construction is newer, a little lighter and a little bit thinner than the Google Pixel 3 XL. The Google Pixel 3 XL counts with a little bit better display than Galaxy A71, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a better pixel count per inch in the display.
The Google Pixel 3 XL counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A71, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Galaxy A71 features a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Galaxy A71 takes much better pictures and videos than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a same size camera aperture, the Galaxy A71 also has a lot more megapixels back-facing camera and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot higher quality photographs.
Galaxy A71 features longer battery life than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3 XL. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy A71, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Google Pixel 3 XL, resigning some features and specs.
