Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A71 is better than the Google Pixel 3a, with a score of 87.5 against 78.8. These devices use the same Android 11 operating system, so they should count with identical operating system features. Samsung Galaxy A71's body is just a little thinner but somewhat heavier than Google Pixel 3a, and both were released with only a couple of months difference.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 has a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy A71 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Google Pixel 3a counts with a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a little smaller display and a bit worse 1080 x 2220 resolution, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy A71 counts with a much bigger storage for games and applications than Google Pixel 3a, because it has an external memory card slot that holds up to 512 GB and 64 GB more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy A71 has a really longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 3a, because it has a 50 percent larger battery capacity.
The Galaxy A71 takes way better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same video quality, the Galaxy A71 also has a way bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with lot more MP.
Although Galaxy A71 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3a, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 3a. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy A71, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Google Pixel 3a, letting go some specifications.
