Comparison review
The Galaxy A71 is slightly better than Huawei P40, having an 87.5 score against 86.4. Even though the Galaxy A71 and the Huawei P40 were only released with a few months difference, the Galaxy A71 design is just a little bit thinner but a little bit heavier. Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A71 has a more recent 11 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10, providing the user some nice extra features.
Huawei P40 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A71. Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit. Huawei P40 counts with a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a bit better pixel quantity in each inch in the screen.
Huawei P40 has a camera that is very similar to the Galaxy A71 one, because although the Huawei P40 has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting photos in poorly lited environments, a lot lower resolution camera in the back and a lower video definition, it also counts with a way bigger sensor taking much higher quality videos and photos.
The Galaxy A71 features much more storage to store more games and applications than Huawei P40, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A71 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Galaxy A71 features a bit better battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has an 18% larger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P40, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P40. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy A71, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Huawei P40, resigning some specs and features.
