Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy A71 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S9, getting a general score of 87.5 against 83.3. Samsung Galaxy A71 is a newer and just a little thinner phone than the Samsung Galaxy S9, although it is just a bit heavier. The Samsung Galaxy S9 counts with a brighter screen than Galaxy A71, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better display pixel density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy S9 counts with a little bit better performance than Galaxy A71, although it has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.

The Galaxy A71 counts with a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. The Galaxy A71 has a better camera than Galaxy S9, because although it has worse 30 frames per second video frame rates and a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting images in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Galaxy A71 also counts with a much higher resolution back camera and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and pictures.

Although Samsung Galaxy A71 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S9, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
