Comparison review
Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A71, getting a 94.6 score against 87.5. Even though Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Samsung Galaxy A71 were released with only 8 months difference, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 body is much heavier but just a bit thinner. Both of these phones come with the same Android 11 OS, so both should offer identical OS features.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A71, because although it has a just a little worse amount of pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a bit bigger screen and a higher resolution of 1768 x 2208px. Samsung Galaxy A71 features a little bit better storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy A71, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has 6 GB more RAM memory. Galaxy A71 features a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Galaxy A71 also counts with a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Galaxy A71 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have really similar battery performance.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy A71, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A71. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Galaxy A71, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
