Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III is slightly better than Galaxy A71, having a overall score of 93.3 against 87.5. Both devices in our current comparison include the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features. The Xperia 1 III body is newer, but a bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the Galaxy A71.
Xperia 1 III features a sharper display than Galaxy A71, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixel number per inch of screen and a much higher 1644 x 3840px resolution. The Xperia 1 III features a bit superior processor than Galaxy A71, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 III has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy A71, because it has 256 GB internal memory and an external memory card slot that holds up to 1 TB. The Sony Xperia 1 III's battery life is very similar to the battery lifetime in Galaxy A71.
The Galaxy A71 captures much better videos and photos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier aperture and slower video frame rate, and they both have a same size back camera sensor and the same video resolution, the Galaxy A71 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more megapixels.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy A71, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A71. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy A71, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
