Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), having a score of 77.4 against 72.8. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, providing some nice extra features and a performance increase. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) is a much newer and a little lighter phone than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), but it's also somewhat thicker.
