Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a global score of 76.5, which is a bit better than the Galaxy A8 (2016)'s global score of 72.8. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) design is a lot newer and a little lighter, but thicker than Galaxy A8 (2016). Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy A8 (2016) has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, providing you lots of additional features and performance optimizations.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) and the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) have very similar screens, although the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has a little bigger display, a little higher 1080 x 2310 resolution and a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) counts with a bit better processor than Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a superior memory to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB, the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) also has more internal memory. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) counts with longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 (2016), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
