LG G5 is slightly better than the Galaxy A8 (2016), having a general score of 76.1 against 72.8. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the LG G5 has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy A8 (2016) has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, so it offers some nice extra features. Although the LG G5 and Galaxy A8 (2016) were only released with a couple months difference, the LG G5 construction is just a bit thicker but also somewhat lighter than Galaxy A8 (2016).

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) counts with a bit better processing power than LG G5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores. The LG G5 features a slightly better screen than Galaxy A8 (2016), because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a higher pixel density.

The LG G5 takes a bit better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the LG G5 also has a lot better video quality and a bigger aperture.
