Galaxy A8 (2018) has an overall score of 79.2, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016)'s 72.8 general score. The Galaxy A8 (2018) is a newer and a bit lighter cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), although it's thicker. Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy A8 (2016), because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater pixel quantity per display inch and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2220.
Galaxy A8 (2018) features a bit more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 (2018) also has a larger amount of RAM. The Galaxy A8 (2018) shoots clearer photos and videos than Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same resolution back facing camera and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy A8 (2018) also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low light captures and videos.
The Galaxy A8 (2018) features much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 256 GB, the Galaxy A8 (2018) also has 32 GB more internal memory capacity.
