Galaxy Alpha is a little bit better than Galaxy A8 (2016), having a global score of 76.3 against 72.8. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Alpha has older 4.4.4 version and Galaxy A8 (2016) has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Galaxy Alpha is a just a little bit thinner and lighter cellphone than the Galaxy A8 (2016).
The Galaxy Alpha features a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy A8 (2016), because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a bit better display than Galaxy A8 (2016), although it has a bit smaller screen, a way lower resolution of 1280 x 720 and a little worse display pixels density.
Galaxy Alpha takes a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016), because although it has a back camera with a lot lower resolution and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking photographs and/or video in low light environments, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video quality.
