Xperia XZs has an overall score of 77.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy A8 (2016)'s score of 72.8. Although Xperia XZs and Galaxy A8 (2016) were released only 6 months apart, the Xperia XZs construction is thicker but somewhat lighter than Galaxy A8 (2016). Galaxy A8 (2016) counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Xperia XZs, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with more cpu cores.
The Xperia XZs has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy A8 (2016), because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xperia XZs also counts with a just a little greater pixel amount in each display inch. Sony Xperia XZs's memory capacity for apps and games is very similar to the Galaxy A8 (2016) one, they have a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB and exactly the same 32 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) features a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia XZs, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity.
