The Galaxy A8 (2018) is slightly better than HTC U Ultra, having a global score of 79.2 against 77. Even though the Galaxy A8 (2018) is newer than the HTC U Ultra, it is a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker. HTC U Ultra counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has a just a bit greater pixel number per inch in the screen, a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a little bigger display.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) counts with a bit more powerful CPU than HTC U Ultra, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) also has more cpu cores. The HTC U Ultra features a battery lifetime that's just as good as Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018)'s battery lifetime. The HTC U Ultra has a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low light images and video and a much worse 12 MP resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a much higher video definition.
