The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a score of 79.8, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018)'s 79.2 general score. Even though Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) were released only a few months apart, Sony Xperia XZ Premium's design is just a little thinner but also a little heavier.
The Xperia XZ Premium features a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU. The Xperia XZ Premium counts with a much more vibrant display than Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better resolution of 2160 x 3840 and way more pixels per inch of screen.
Xperia XZ Premium counts with as much storage capacity to install applications and games as the Galaxy A8 (2018), both of them have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 256 GB. The Xperia XZ Premium shoots much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy A8 (2018), because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and videos, it also counts with a more MP back camera and a way better video definition.
Xperia XZ Premium features a bit superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), because it has an 8% bigger battery capacity.
