The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a general score of 81.2, which is a bit better than Galaxy A8 (2018)'s 79.2 score. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 construction is just a little bit thinner but just a bit heavier than the Galaxy A8 (2018), and both of them were released with only 3 months difference. The Galaxy A8 (2018) features a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater screen density and a bit higher 1080 x 2220 resolution.
