Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an overall score of 90.9, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016)'s general score of 74.9. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro body is much newer than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016)'s, but it is thicker and just a little bit heavier. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a quite better performance than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has more RAM memory.
