Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy A9 (2016), having a 77.4 score against 74.9. Even though the Huawei Mate 8 and the Galaxy A9 (2016) were released only a couple of months apart, the Huawei Mate 8 design is just a bit lighter but just a bit thicker than the Galaxy A9 (2016). The Huawei Mate 8 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a little bit better display than Galaxy A9 (2016). Both have a display of the same size, the same quantity of pixels per display inch and an equal resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Huawei Mate 8 has a way bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate 8 has a battery lifetime that is very similar to Galaxy A9 (2016)'s battery lifetime. Galaxy A9 (2016) captures slightly better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back facing camera with lesser mega-pixels, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and videos in low-light environments and a much higher 3840x2160 video definition.
