Galaxy J8 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), having a 76.7 score against 74.9. The Galaxy J8 body is newer and somewhat lighter, but also a little bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016). Galaxy J8's CPU is just as good as the Galaxy A9 (2016) one, and although the Galaxy J8 has more RAM memory, they both have 8 cores.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016) has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy J8, and although they both have a same size display, the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016) also has a higher 1080 x 1920px resolution and more pixels per inch of display. Galaxy J8 counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), because it has 64 GB internal memory and an external memory card slot that allows up to 256 GB.

The Galaxy J8 counts with a camera that's very similar to Galaxy A9 (2016)'s camera, and although the Galaxy J8 has a larger diafragm aperture and a higher 16 mega-pixels resolution back camera, they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate. The Galaxy A9 (2016) has just a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy J8, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
