Xperia Z5 Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is a little bit better than Galaxy A9 (2016)'s 74.9 overall score. Even though Xperia Z5 Premium and Galaxy A9 (2016) were only released with a couple months difference, Xperia Z5 Premium's design is a little thicker but a bit lighter than Galaxy A9 (2016).
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a way better screen than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 3840 x 2160px resolution and a much higher screen density. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has an extra graphics processing unit.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a better camera than Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back and a bigger aperture for better low light images and video.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016), and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 200 GB.
