Galaxy A9 (2018) has an overall score of 85.2, which is much better than Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 overall score. Despite being the best phone in our current comparison, it must be noted that it's also a older, just a little thicker and a little heavier phone. Galaxy A9 (2018) counts with a much greater performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

Motorola Edge 40 has a more vivid display than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a bit bigger display, a just a bit more pixels per inch of display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Galaxy A9 (2018) counts with a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB.

Motorola Edge 40 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity. The Motorola Edge 40 features a better camera than Galaxy A9 (2018), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and videos in low light situations, a lot higher resolution camera and a lot bigger sensor providing a lot better image quality.
