Galaxy A9 (2018) has a global score of 85.2, which is slightly better than Moto G9 Plus's overall score of 80.5. The Galaxy A9 (2018) design is somewhat thinner and lighter than Moto G9 Plus, despite of the fact that it was released around 22 months before. The Galaxy A9 (2018) features just a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

Moto G9 Plus features a screen that is just as good as the Galaxy A9 (2018) one, because although the Moto G9 Plus has a little lower pixels quantity per inch of display, it also counts with a little bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a little bit bigger screen. Motorola Moto G9 Plus shoots much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus also counts with a way better 64 MP resolution camera in the back and a lot bigger camera sensor capturing much better quality videos and photographs.

The Moto G9 Plus and Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) both count with very similar storage capacity to install games and applications, they have the same internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB. Moto G9 Plus features better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 32 percent more battery size.
