Galaxy A9 (2018) has a global score of 85.2, which is much better than the Galaxy Alpha's general score of 76.3. The Galaxy A9 (2018) is a thicker and notably heavier device than the Galaxy Alpha. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha features a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has 4 less cores (but faster) and 4 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), although it has a lot smaller display, a bit lower pixel count per inch in the display and a lot lower resolution of 1280 x 720. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) counts with a much bigger storage for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory capacity.
