The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is much better than TCL 20 Pro 5G, getting an 85.2 score against 76.1. Although Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is older than the TCL 20 Pro 5G, it's design is somewhat thinner and just a little bit lighter. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) and TCL 20 Pro 5G have very similar displays, although the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a little bit bigger screen, a bit greater pixels quantity per display inch and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G has a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB and more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features a bit more powerful CPU than TCL 20 Pro 5G. They have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory.
TCL 20 Pro 5G shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting images or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also counts with a much more MP camera in the back and a much larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
TCL 20 Pro 5G features just a little bit longer battery life than Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3800mAh.
