Comparison review
Galaxy A9 (2018) is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 9, getting a global score of 85.2 against 83.2. Although it's the best phone we are comparing here, Galaxy A9 (2018)'s construction is just a little thicker and just a bit heavier than Xiaomi Mi 9. Xiaomi Mi 9 counts with a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018). Both have a 6 GB RAM and the same number of cores.
Xiaomi Mi 9 has a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), because it has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340, a little more pixels per inch in the screen and a quite larger screen. The Galaxy A9 (2018) has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
Xiaomi Mi 9 captures better photos and videos than Galaxy A9 (2018), because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also counts with a much more megapixels back facing camera, faster 60 frames per second video frame rate and a way larger sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) features just a little better battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
