Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is slightly better than the Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), having a 77.5 score against 74.4. Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is just a bit heavier than Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), it's a bit thinner and also newer. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016). They have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM.

The Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) also counts with a just a bit higher pixel density. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 captures way better photographs and videos than Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for shooting images and/or video in low light situations, a smaller back-facing camera sensor providing a lower image quality and a much less megapixels camera.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), because although it has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity.
