The Google Pixel 2 XL is a bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, with a global score of 82.5 against 76.3. Although it's the best in this comparison review, the Google Pixel 2 XL design is thicker and much heavier than Galaxy Alpha. The Google Pixel 2 XL has a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a larger display, a lot more pixels per inch in the display and a much better 1440 x 2880 resolution.
The Galaxy Alpha has just a bit better processing power than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and less cpu cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Google Pixel 2 XL takes slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Google Pixel 2 XL also has a better resolution back camera and a larger camera aperture. Google Pixel 2 XL counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has an 89% larger battery size.
The Google Pixel 2 XL not only is the best phones between the ones we are comparing here, but it's also a bargain compared to the other phones.
