The HTC U Ultra is a little bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, getting a 77 score against 76.3. Although it's the best we are comparing, HTC U Ultra's body is extremely heavier and thicker than Galaxy Alpha. Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit better processing power than HTC U Ultra, because although it has less RAM, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha also counts with a graphics processing unit.
HTC U Ultra counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a way higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, a lot better pixel density and a larger screen. HTC U Ultra features a little bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a back facing camera with a 12 MP resolution and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the HTC U Ultra also has a larger aperture for better images and video in low light situations.
The HTC U Ultra features a much greater storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has more internal storage and an external memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The HTC U Ultra has a really longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 1860mAh.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Alpha. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
