Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is a little bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, getting a 79.2 score against 76.3. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro body is thicker and noticeably heavier than Galaxy Alpha. The Galaxy Alpha features a little bit better screen than Huawei Mate 10 Pro, although it has a really smaller display, a just a little worse count of pixels per screen inch and a way worse 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro has a much better memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro's processing unit is very similar to the CPU in Galaxy Alpha, because although the Huawei Mate 10 Pro has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with more CPU cores and more RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rate and a camera with a 12 mega pixels, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro also has a lot bigger camera aperture to take better photography and video in poorly lited environments.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro features a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 115 percent larger battery size.
