Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 8 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, having a 77.4 score against 76.3. The Huawei Mate 8 design is thicker and a lot heavier than Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 8, although it has a quite worse pixels density, a much lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and a really smaller screen.
Huawei Mate 8 has a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB and 128 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Alpha counts with just a little better hardware performance than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory and lesser processing cores , it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha captures clearer photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back facing camera with a way worse resolution and a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures or videos in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 115% bigger battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Alpha. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Alpha, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
