Comparison review
Huawei Mate X2 has an overall score of 89.1, which is much better than the Galaxy Alpha's overall score of 76.3. Both devices in this review use Android OS, but Huawei Mate X2 has older 10 version while Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4. Huawei Mate X2's body is much heavier and thicker than Galaxy Alpha.
The Huawei Mate X2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores. Galaxy Alpha counts with a little sharper display than Huawei Mate X2, although it has a really smaller display, a lot lower 1280 x 720 resolution and a bit lower pixel density.
The Huawei Mate X2 captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Huawei Mate X2 also has a much better 50 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a bigger aperture to capture better photos and video in low-light environments.
Huawei Mate X2 features a superior storage for apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Huawei Mate X2 has a much better battery duration than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 1860mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Alpha. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Alpha, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
